Il diclofenac è un farmaco antinfiammatorio non steroideo (FANS) comunemente usato per trattare infiammazioni e dolori associati a condizioni come artrite reumatoide, gotta, dismenorrea, annessite e dolore post-traumatico o post-operatorio. 

Compatibilità

Il diclofenac è considerato abbastanza sicuro durante l’allattamento.

Farmacocinetica e trasferimento nel latte materno

Il diclofenac ha un’alta affinità proteica e un carattere acido, con un trasferimento minimo nel latte materno. I livelli di diclofenac nel latte materno sono molto bassi. Non sono stati osservati problemi nei bambini i cui genitori lo assumevano.

Sicurezza in allattamento

Gli studi indicano che il diclofenac non è un farmaco rischioso durante l’allattamento. La dose che un bambino può ricevere tramite il latte materno è molto inferiore alla dose terapeutic pediatrica. L’uso di diclofenac durante l’allattamento non ha mostrato effetti avversi significativi nei bambini.

Raccomandazioni delle istituzioni sanitarie

L’American Academy of Pediatrics e l’OMS considerano il diclofenac compatibile con l’allattamento.

Farmaci alternativi

Alternative al diclofenac includono l’ibuprofene e il paracetamolo, che sono considerati sicuri durante l’allattamento.

Conclusioni

Il diclofenac è considerato compatibile durante l’allattamento. I livelli nel latte materno sono molto bassi e non sono stati osservati effetti negativi significativi sui neonati.
